Art Classes Online via Zoom
With the onset of the Covid Pandemic in 2020 I adapted my teaching to work remotely.
I wanted to continue developing my students' skills using pre-recorded and real-time online classes.
My art room was quickly converted into a filming studio where I now run live, interactive classes via Zoom.
Artists of all levels can join me from anywhere in the world! I have had students from France, Holland and as far away as America.
I appreciate not everyone has a studio full of art materials, so I try to keep the kit simple without sacrificing the end result.
Virtual Sketch Walks via Zoom
I developed my Virtual Sketch Walks to give all levels of students a new and exciting way to improve their sketching skills without getting cold and wet!
Now it is possible to join me on a virtual art tour as I wander through a series of wonderful and inspiring locations.
During each live, interactive lesson, we sketch together, using basic art materials. I guide you with on-screen exercises, teach a variety of techniques whilst allowing time for more detailed sketches.
Travel the world without leaving your home as we wander through food markets, old towns or sandy beaches.
Beginners are always welcome and it is a great way to get together with other students.
My sketch walks are sociable, friendly way to build your confidence sketching 'on location'.
Each Virtual Sketch Walk takes approximately 1.5 hours.
Creative Workshops on the Isle of Wight
From my base on the Isle of Wight I also run sketching days out and creative workshops.
These are aimed at all abilities and give students the space to look at specific skills in more depth.
I have taught both locals and holiday visitors on subjects as diverse as “An introduction to Pen and Wash” or “Acrylic Colour Mixing” and the courses can be one day long or week long residential events.
I also offer pre-recorded art classes through SketchUrban, an online art school. Subject matter is wide ranging and there is a lively student forum. Click here to find out more.
